WHAT IS AN ELLE TENS+?
The Elle TENS+ is a premium maternity electrotherapy TENS machine designed specifically for use during labour. It delivers gentle electrical impulses through electrode pads placed on the lower back, giving you a non-drug comfort option that you can control yourself as labour progresses.
The handheld unit includes adjustable intensity, a Boost function for contractions and a contraction timer, making it easy to use at home, on the way to hospital and during labour where appropriate.

HOW THE HIRE WORKS

Reserve your machine
Fill out the form on our website. We will confirm availability for your dates and arrange collection with you, or organise delivery of your machine via courier.

Receive it from around 37 weeks
We recommend having your TENS ready before labour begins, so you have time to read the instructions and familiarise yourself with the controls.

Keep it for up to five weeks
Use the machine according to the manufacturer instructions throughout your agreed rental period.

Return it after birth
Local clients return the reusable equipment to Bub Club in Upper Highway or Durban North. Courier clients use the pre-arranged return courier.

Receive your deposit back
Once the returned equipment has been checked, your refundable deposit will normally be processed within 3 working days.
LOCAL COLLECTION & RETURN
Local collection is available in the Upper Highway or Durban North area at an arranged time.
After your baby's birth, please return the machine and all reusable accessories by your agreed return date. The electrode pads are yours to keep or discard and do not need to be returned.
NATION WIDE COURIER
We can courier Elle TENS+ units throughout South Africa. Courier charges are additional and will be confirmed before your booking is finalised.
For convenience, Bub Club will arrange your return courier in advance as part of the booking process. After your baby's birth, you simply repack the machine and reusable accessories securely and follow the return instructions supplied to you.
IMPORTANT
IF BABY HASN'T ARRIVED YET
If your baby has not arrived by your scheduled return date, please contact us before the hire period ends. Where possible, we will accommodate an extension depending on availability and upcoming bookings.
Additional hire: R150 per additional week, subject to availability.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
Please read the supplied manufacturer's instructions and Quick Start Guide before use. The Elle TENS+ must be used according to the manufacturer's directions, contraindications and precautions.

Keep the unit dry and do not use it in the bath, shower or birthing pool.

If you have a medical condition, implanted electrical device, concerns about your pregnancy or any uncertainty about whether TENS is suitable for you, please discuss this with your obstetrician, midwife or maternity-care provider before use.

Pain relief and comfort vary from person to person. Hiring a TENS machine does not guarantee a particular level of pain relief or birth outcome.
EQUIPMENT CARE
Please look after the Elle TENS+ and reusable accessories carefully during your hire period. The unit should be kept clean, dry and safely stored when not in use.
If equipment is lost, not returned, or damaged beyond reasonable wear and tear, the client is responsible for the reasonable repair or full replacement cost. Where applicable, this may exceed the R500 refundable deposit.

Are the electrode pads reused between clients?
No. Every hire includes a brand-new set of four maternity electrodes for your personal use. You keep or discard them after birth.
Can I use my electrodes more than once?
Yes. Your electrode pads can be reused by you during your hire period according to the manufacturer's care instructions.
Can I use the TENS in water?
No. The unit must stay dry and must not be used in the bath, shower or birthing pool.
What if I go overdue?
Contact us before your return date. We will do our best to extend your hire, subject to availability.
Can you courier outside Durban?
Yes. Nationwide courier is available. Delivery and return courier costs are quoted separately.
How does the return courier work?
Bub Club arranges the return courier in advance. After birth, follow the return instructions supplied with your booking and have the securely packed unit ready for collection or drop-off, depending on the courier service used.
