Personalised preparation, practical guidance and reassuring support throughout pregnancy and birth, wherever you call home.
With Sam or Tasch by your side virtually, you will have a familiar, trusted source of support as you prepare for your baby’s birth.
Whether you are planning a vaginal birth, induction or caesarean birth, we will help you understand your options, prepare for different possibilities and approach your birth feeling calm, informed and confident.
Here’s How We’ll Support You
Ongoing WhatsApp Support
Throughout the remainder of your pregnancy, you will have access to WhatsApp support for emotional reassurance, evidence-based information, practical guidance and answers to the many questions that may arise along the way.
WhatsApp support is available during our usual business hours and is intended to complement, rather than replace, the medical advice and care you receive from your maternity team.
Three Online Prenatal Consultations
Each consultation is personalised around your pregnancy, your preferences and the support you need as a couple.
1. Let’s Connect
Our first session gives us the opportunity to get to know one another and understand what matters most to you.
We will talk through your pregnancy journey so far, explore any questions or concerns you may have and discuss how we can best support both you and your birth partner in the weeks ahead.
2. Preparing for Labour and Birth
We will help you and your birth partner prepare practically and emotionally for labour and birth.
Together, we will explore:
-
The signs that labour may be beginning and progressing
-
Breathing and relaxation techniques
-
Labour positions and movement
-
Massage, touch and counter-pressure
-
Practical comfort measures
-
Ways your birth partner can provide meaningful support
-
Creating a calm and supportive birth environment
-
Communicating with your maternity team
We will also discuss when to contact your maternity team, what you may expect as labour progresses and how their clinical guidance can help you decide when it is time to go to hospital.
3. Personalising Your Birth
Together, we will create a birth plan that reflects your wishes, priorities and individual circumstances.
We will discuss your preferences for labour, vaginal birth and caesarean birth, your birth partner’s role, communication with your medical team and your wishes for the first moments after your baby is born.
Preparing for different possibilities does not mean expecting something to go wrong. It means helping you remain informed, involved and empowered, whichever path your birth takes.
Virtual Support During Labour
When labour begins, we will be available via WhatsApp between 5:30 am and 10:00 pm to provide reassurance, encouragement and practical virtual support.
We can help your birth partner recall positions and comfort measures, support you in recognising how labour may be progressing, talk through questions and help you consider what you may wish to discuss with your maternity team.
We cannot provide clinical advice, assess you or your baby remotely, make medical decisions on your behalf or replace the care of your midwife, obstetrician or hospital team. Our role is to help you understand your options, formulate questions and feel informed and supported as you communicate with the professionals caring for you.
Although we may not be physically present in the room, you will still have someone familiar in your corner who knows your wishes and has helped you prepare for this day.
Postpartum Follow-Up
After your baby’s birth, we will meet online to gently debrief your birth experience, answer your questions and help you settle into life with your new baby.
This consultation may include:
-
Talking through and processing your birth experience
-
Breastfeeding, latch and positioning guidance
-
Understanding newborn feeding and behaviour
-
Safe-sleep guidance
-
Emotional reassurance and support
-
Answering the many little questions that arise during the early days
Our aim is to help you feel heard, cared for and more confident as you begin finding your rhythm together.
